I was updating the HTML template of my main blog earlier this evening and it seemed to publish normally. However I suspect there must have been a 'glitch' during the publishing process, because when I tried to view my page it was obvious there was something radically wrong.

On checking back on the template I find that almost all the HTML code has vanished. I've sent a query to Blogger to ask if they can restore the code from a back-up, but I don't expect to hear from them (time difference between here and where they are - California) until tomorrow. I do have my own back-up, but it is not very recent and I'd have a lot of 'tweaking' to do if I used it.

Oh well, an evening and perhaps a day off from blogging. Sigh...

My main 'blog' is back online - has been for about 2 weeks now. It took me a few days after the outage to get it up and running, although another week was required to reinstate most of the add-ons. I am now scrupulous in maintaining an up-to-date off-line backup, in case this happens again.
